Israel's Lieberman: Israeli army should shoot at rock-throwers

The chairman of the Yisrael Beytenu party in Israel has told Ya'alon, this government's new defense minister, to change the IDF rules of engagement when it comes to soldiers being attacked by the likes of rock throwing Palestinian youths.
Lieberman stated that "only this kind of change will stop civilians and soldiers from being targeted by Arab rioters." The change in question, that being the authorization under a revised rules of engagement for soldiers of the Israeli Army to be allowed fire on rock throwing Palestinians insisting that they should "be treated like [they were] shooting using firearms." Mr. Lieberman made these remarks following an incident on Thursday when five people were injured after Palestinians threw rocks at a bus near the Israeli settlement on Ariel in the West Bank, that incident left five people injured including a toddler who is in a critical condition.
